Food Foraging Maps

R. Alan Wight, Ph.D. and Urban Artifact Brewery

I collaborated with Alan Wight, a professor who teaches about food foraging and Scott Hand of Urban Artifact Brewery in Cincinnati Ohio to design and illustrate a series of food foraging maps. Urban Artifact is the largest fruit beer brewer in the world! Their location in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati is known as the “Fruit Castle”. The maps are organized by neighborhoods in Cincinnati and are used by food foragers who are looking for nuts and berries throughout the city. The maps are available digitally and also as a printed booklet. These booklets include educational “Fruit Facts” that I had the opportunity to illustrate as well.

  • Graphically depict streets, landmarks, and geographical areas as maps.
